Event Alert- 4th Annual Kissing for Toys from Xclusively Kissed

One week to go until the 4th Annual Kissing for Toys Benefit Tasting and this is one event I am beyond excited for!!!
I have worked with Chef X of Xclusively Kissed at several events over the years. When I asked her to work with me on a show a few years ago she committed to it immediately and beyond impressed me and everyone there with her work. Since then she and her brand have grown even better working with professionals, using amazing displays and knowing the importance of protecting her brand in addition to just being an amazing chef.
Last year she asked me to host her annual Mother's Day Brunch and it was a beautiful honor. Held on the river in downtown Jax the food was exquisite with live performances and she gifted the mothers there with a tea cup set to take home. My husband and I were asked to come out as guests to her Father's Day Dinner as well and he hasn't stopped talking about Xclusively Kissed food yet. I reached out to her a few months back and offered to assist her with any upcoming projects she had and she mentioned her annual benefit tasting so I jumped on board.
Each year Chef X holds this Xclusive Tasting for the next year's menu only opening the event up to a limited number of people. The night is filled with entertainment, delicious food and usually she packs in a few surprises as well. The proceeds are then used to fund her annual Need One, Feed One Mission, feeding the homeless on Christmas Day and toys collected are given to underprivileged children in the Jax community. So not only is it a fun night, but it's a night full of PURPOSE!
I assisted Chef the last few weeks in locking in the entertainment as well as the location of Manifest Distilling and finding a few awesome sponsors like Digital Miss Designs and Los2k Films. I will not be hosting this event as I will be busy helping her day of the event and playing the role of event coordinator but there will be some interviews from hubby and I as well as lots of pics and videos from the night that you guys can look forward to checking out here and our social media pages so make sure you have subscribed to my blog and are following hubby and I on our pages (links below) to stay updated! There will be live performances from Chris Williams, Kia Nicole, Terry T. Harris and will be hosted by MissEP_Ciara.
Last check there were only 5 tickets left so I am positive this event will book out before the day of the event so if you didn't get your tickets for this year, make sure you get them next year because this is one Chef who sells out events and you don't want to miss her food or the good times that's included! Follow her Instagram & Twitter pages for info on upcoming events or how to book her for your private event and stay tuned for the follow up!
Much Love,

Gluten-Free on I-95

I love traveling.. road trips, flying and even by boat. I just love to go. I didn't travel a lot as a kid.. Until I was 10 the only states I'd been to were my home state of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Washington DC. By the time I'd graduated I had added North Carolina and Kentucky. I live in Florida now but my first time here was in 2002 and at 38 years of age I have only added South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, New York (airport only) and Connecticut to the list as well as The Bahamas (Freeport) and Cuba. I still have a million places I want to go.. Now though it's all a bit trickier because of my allergies.. I have been diagnosed as allergic to gluten, cats, pine trees and a few other things. I seem to have reactions to other things and need to be tested for more in addition to other health issues I have that food can complicate. This makes traveling HARD. I have to be careful at every place I go.. eating at events is completely out of the qu

Lost Dreams

It's 2011, times are tough and everyone is out here grinding to get to the top... So many have lost their jobs due to the recession and have to take jobs doing whatever comes their way just to have food on the table and a roof over their head. Not many really want to flip burgers or work the local department store register but if you want to survive we do what we have to do. It's how the country works... if there was noone flipping burgers, where would we get our food? What does this have to do with dreams? well a lot.... As a child one of the questions we are asked most often is what do you want to be when you grow up? Some ponder this and reply with whatever their mommy or daddy does, others reply doctor or fireman, some just don't know. We are told we can do anything! We can concure the world if we work hard, pay attention and try.. then real world hits... you gradute school and have more bills than zeros on your check, you get pregnant, or hurt yourself and lose a s

Our Mail System

I know there are millions of hard working postal workers making sure people get their letters, bills, parcels and more each day. They venture out into the cold, heat, rain, snow and more to do a job and I appreciate it. That being said isn't it time for a change? It's 2011 and we are still depending on a service that quite honestly is slow, undependable and usually carries more junk to out door than needed materials. We have no way to track most mail which means no way to verify it was sent, it was received or if it was taken somewhere along the way. If you can't tell already I'm waiting on mail, not just any mail either... I'm waiting on money. A check I usually receive every other Friday has not came, and its now the following Tuesday. Of course this check was sent VIA our lovely unites states postal service so where is it now? Noone knows.... I've been told as of today I have to allow 14 days before they will stop payment and send a new one. blah...
