So you guys know recently I have been doing more sampling for various companies as well as brand ambassador programs. An amazing site that I recommend to everyone is Crowdtap. I came across it while googling for sample sites and I check it several times a day, except on the weekends when there isn't a lot of activity.
The great thing about this site is you get rewarded and get to participate in several ways. You fill out your general information. Age, sex, address, social media info. Then it acts as a sort of testing group for various brands. You may get shown images and asked to pick your favorite label or describe how an image makes you think. Sometimes they'll have more focused information and discussions, and on occasion you'll get invited to sample a product. It could be a new candy bar, cold medicine, makeup, and on occasion a brand will send you a box full of toiletry items! My bathroom has about 3 months worth of products right now.
When sampling they will have several tasks, that you know about in advance of accepting to sample, like writing an honest review of your product to taking a picture of the product in various settings. With social media as prevalent as it is I am sure these companies can use the images for the pages and it make for a cheap way to get real images of real people testing their products. For every task you complete you get awarded points starting at two points and going up from there; these points accumulate and you get sent a $ Amazon gift card for every 1,000 points you get.
Recently there were about 14 different missions from Unilever with multiple products in each box. Most were filled with Dove and Suave products but I occasionally got something from Ponds or Nexxus. Each box would have several different products like shampoo and conditioner, deodorants, body wash and makeup removing wipes. All of the products are full size, not some little sample bottle, and were new scents and versions of existing products they have on the market. The most recent one came with two Dove deodorants, Pond's Original Fresh MoistureClean™ Towelettes, Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo and Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisture Conditioner.
I enjoyed everything in this box but the Nexxus set was by far my favorite. From the sleek design of the bottle to the way it made my hair feel I absolutely loved it as soon as I tried it. My hair tends to get oily but my scalp gets dry and my hair that used to be straight as a board now has a slight wave to it. Not only was it great for my hair but it did really well for my daughters as well. They have very curly hair that can get dry and it gave their curls the perfect moisture they need. This is a set we plan to keep using!
